Monday 7 October 2019 2.00pm-4.30pm National Cyber Security Centre Victoria, London
This important seminar is hosted and presented by the National Cyber Security Centre, part of GCHQ. STAR is very pleased to have secured another briefing from the NCSC, which is for its members only.
Ticketing companies are as vulnerable to cyber attacks as any other organisation processing customer and payment data.
NCSC is keen to engage fully with our industry, through STAR, and to help ensure that our members are equipped with relevant information and security advice. They are also encouraging ticketing businesses to share cyber insights and intelligence confidently in a secure and trusted environment.
This seminar will include high-level intelligence and technical information and will be presented by experts from the NCSC. The seminar will increase your awareness of how to prepare and protect your organisation from potential threats, provide an understanding of how to mitigate them using NCSC advice and how to respond should an incident occur. It will also outline how and why we should collaborate as an industry to share and discuss cyber threats.
STAR members can register up to two representatives from their organisation, free of charge. This seminar is is not open to non-members.
We recommend that at least one person attending from your organisation should be an IT specialist with responsibility for cyber security. The content of the event will be at a higher technical level than a basic presentation on security and there will be the opportunity to ask detailed questions in a secure and discreet environment.
Numbers are limited and, as we are expecting high demand for this event, places will be allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that the seminar is taking place in a secure government building. Those attending must bring photo ID such as a passport or driving licence to gain entry. Full address details for NCSC will be provided on registration.
If you have any questions about the seminar, please contact Jonathan Brown.
